A day after the release of surgical strikes video in India, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal has denied accepting the authenticity of the video.

Calling the video as farcical he said, "I have said it before and will say it again. The farcical claims of surgical strikes is a figment of Indian imagination and nothing else! They may dream on ".

The videos which were telecasted in the Indian media on Wednesday pertains toIndian Army's 2016 surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the border in September 2016.

The videoshows Army officials demolishing terror launch pads on the intervening night of September 28 and 29, 2016.

The video footage was originally captured through drones and cameras mounted atop the helmets of the commandos.

The operation lasted for around five hours wherein commandos successfully destroyed seven terror launch pads

The strikes were conducted to counterthe Uri military base attack carried out by Pakistan-based terrorists which killed many as 17 Army personnel. The attack was described as"the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades".

Talking about the controversy regarding the visit of Indian High Commissioner to a Sikh Gurdwara, he said the Sikhs have been protesting against the release of a controversial movie that has hurt their religious sentiments.

To a question about transfer of FIA officer-in-charge of the Mumbai attack probe, Mazhar-ul-Haq, he said the matter of the Mumbai trial has been ongoing for the past 10 years or so. "The officers-in-charge have been changed during this time, but the state functions continue uninterrupted,"he claimed.
