Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju is on to bigger stuff as the biopic goes on to now become the 4th highest grossing Indian film ever. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial has crossed over Rs 500 crores worldwide.

After showing great numbers since it released, with the biggest opening weekend collection this year to entering into Rs 300 crore club, the film has many firsts to its credit, especially for the lead actorRanbir Kapoor.

Taran Adarsh tweeted that the film has crossed lifetime business of Tiger Zinda Hai and is chasing Aamir Khan’s PK. So far, the film has collected Rs 339.75 crore, more than the total collection of Tiger Zinda Hai at Rs 339 crore. The first three films are Baahubali 2, Dangal and PK. The film has also established Ranbir’s position at the box office with critics and fans liking his performance.

The film showcased six stages of Sanjay Dutt’s life and Ranbir was effortless in each. The film also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Dia Mirza.

Meanwhile, convicted gangster Abu Salem has sent a legal notice to the makers of Sanjuaccusing Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra of defamation. Salem has alleged that the film depicted and stated erroneous information on him.
