Netflix’s The Crown has managed to keep us wanting for more as there’s news of a series of new castings for characters for the season 3 that will make it way to the streaming channel in 2019.
As the series plans to take a leap of a decade, each character will be portrayed by a new face as they age. While we already informed you who will take up the role of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, we now have information on who will be cast as Princess Anne (daughter of the Queen of England).
According to an LA-based website, Princess Anne will be portrayed by Erin Doherty of the fame Call the Midwife in the third season of The Crown.
The Crown, a Netflix original series, tells the inside story of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign as the world changes and progresses with time leading to rule of England over its colonies ending subsequently. The series reunites creator-writer Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) with director Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Hours) and producer Andy Harries (The Queen).
The series has for now, also been renewed for a fourth season.
