Arab Americans rally to press Biden administration to offer more support to Palestine
In another major electoral headache for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, a new survey has revealed that her popularity among Arab Americans has fallen sharply. A survey by Arab News/YouGov has found that GOP candidate Donald Trump is leading Harris with an impressive 45 per cent support among Arab Americans.
Harris is only preferred by 43 per cent of the respondents; whereas 4 per cent said they would vote for Green Party candidate Jill Stein and 6 per cent said they were undecided.
The poll surveyed around 500 Arab Americans across the country in late September.
What’s at stake?
There is a significant Arab American population in Michigan, a swing state where both Trump and Harris have been vying for dominance.

Notably, Kamala Harris’s popularity here is faring lower than what Biden enjoyed in 2020. Owing to Biden’s open support to Israel in the ongoing West Asia crisis, more and more Arab Americans are opting to vote for Trump.
Top issues for Arab Americans
The Arab News/YouGov also revealed that the Israel-Gaza issue and the overall crisis in West Asia remained the topmost priority for 29 per cent of Arab Americans.
21 per cent said the economy was their biggest issue, meanwhile, the same number of people said the cost of living was their biggest concern.
Trump seeking opportunity
Ex-US president Donald Trump is looking to capitalise upon this rampant frustration among Arabs, despite himself having a reputation of being a staunch Israel ally and an opponent of Muslim immigrants.
In fact, he has already talked about plans to reinstate travel bans targeting Muslim countries.

However, Trump is leaving no stone unturned in bid to bash ‘Low IQ’ Kamala for her Middle East policy.
"Arab Voters are very upset that Comrade Kamala Harris, the Worst Vice President in the History of the United States and a Low IQ individual, is campaigning with 'dumb as a rock' War Hawk, Liz Cheney, who, like her father, the man that pushed Bush to ridiculously go to War in the Middle East, also wants to go to War with every Muslim Country known to mankind," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
