Pakistan's caretaker government has decided to shift former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to hospital, Pakistani news reports said Sunday.
The reports said irregularities had been found in an ECG Sharif underwent.
The reports added Sharif had been complaining about pain in his arms and chest for some time.
They said clots had also been found in Sharif's ECG.
Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz are currently lodged at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
There were arrested on July 13 after they returned from London. Sharif and Maryam were on July 6 found guilty in the Avenfield apartments corruption case and were sentenced to 10 and seven years respectively in jail by an accountability court.
Sharif is expected to be shifted to the Pakistan Institue of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
The doctors who examined Sharif had advised that he be shifted to a coronary care unit (CCU).
A July 24 medical examination had ascertained that Sharif was in need of constant medical care and attention.
Sharif is said to be suffering from heart disease, cholesterol, and diabetes.
