Another picture tweeted by the PMO showed them at the Yamuna Bank metro station.

A DMRC spokesman said the leaders boarded a Metro train at Mandi House station at around 4:36 pm and travelled up to Botanical Garden station on the Blue Line.

They travelled with tokens in a normal train with passengers and there was no delay in services on the Blue Line due to their movement, the spokesperson added.

Earlier Moon expressed interests in participating in several infrastructural projects in India. The Indian government is planning to build 100 smart cities and construct industrial corridor to link the major cities.

Moon also said that his new southern police is strongly aligned to Modi's Act East policy.

''My new southern policy is aligned with PM Modi's Act East Policy. Both the policies will come to completion when prosperity spreads across the whole of Asia. India and Korea have a long-standing history of exchange,'' Moon said.

Moon described India as a friend ''who helped us in time of need''.

Moon also committed to raising Korea's relations with India to the level as those with 4 major powers around the Korean peninsula.

''This commitment is embodied in my new southern policy that aims to move beyond economic-cooperation to building a prosperous, people-centric community of peace,'' Moon added.

Earlier, Moon and Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Smriti.
