Actress Priyanka Chopra has been receiving a lot of flack recently, the latest one for allegedly insulting the Bollywood industry.
It was brought to notice in an old video back from the 2016 Emmy Awards when Priyanka was asked by a red carpet reporter to show some Indian dance moves to which the actress had said that the Indian movies are all about "hips and boobs."
This caught people's attention and soon took to social media portals to slam the actress.
Chopra has been a centre of controversy surrounding her Amerian show 'Quantico' for showing Indian nationalists are terrorists in one of their recent episodes.
Chopra on Saturday took to Twitter to issue an apology for the recent controversy over the episode. Taking to her Twitter handle, the actress said that her intention was not to hurt the sentiment of the people and that she was a proud Indian.

"I'm extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I'm a proud Indian and that will never change. (sic)," Priyanka tweeted.
Previously, the Disney-owned network, ABC, apologised for a controversial scene that invited criticism for their star actor as she was accused to be a party to a show that showed Indian nationalists as terrorists.
The agitators burned down the posters of Priyanka and sloganeered against the actress outside the Parliament Street Police station in the afternoon to protest against the Bollywood actress, who has also become an International star.
