The heavy rains in Mumbai have so far claimed the lives of seven people.

The downpour in Mumbai since Sunday has been recorded as the highest rainfall since 2015.

The rains have led to severe waterlogging disrupting the transport system and the train services in the financial capital.

A wall of a building in Wadala East had collapsed in the city on Monday due to the heavy downpour.

According to the India Meteorological Department, 250mm rainfall was recorded in parts of Mumbai and Palghar, while 230mm rainfall was recorded in Dahanu on June 24 and June 25.
