IIFA awards saw Bollywood's best getting honoured for their work in 2017.

It was theme Bollywood for Bangkok over the weekend as stars from the Hindi film industry descended to celebrate the best of the best in 2017. Stars sashayed down the green carpet, veterans performed on stage and actors were awarded for their performances.

The hosts of the night were Karan Johar and Riteish Deshmukh who with their wit and charm, entertained the audience. There were performances from Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. But perhaps the highlight of the evening was veteran actress Rekha's performance who performed on stage after two long decades.

Rekha performed on some classic numbers which got her a standing ovation from the audience.

Among the awardees, Sridevi, Irrfan Khan and 'Tumhari Sulu' won top honours. The late actress was awarded the Best Actress trophy posthumously. Her husband, an emotional Boney Kapoor, received the award. "I dedicate this award to the entire team of `Mom`," said an emotional Boney.

"I have mixed emotions today. I miss her every minute and second of my life. I still feel she is around here...I want you all to support Janhvi like you supported her mother..." said a teary-eyed Boney.

Irrfan Khan won for his role in 'Hindi Medium' while Vidya Balan starrer 'Tumhari Sulu' won Best Film and its director Sanket Chaudhary the Best Director award.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement award by Anil.

Varun danced on numbers like 'Sau Tarah Ke', 'Tama Tama,'and 'High Rated Gabru'.Bobby danced with Romanian TV presenter and singer Iulia Vantur on numbers like 'Gupt Gupt', 'Soldier soldier', 'Tera Rang Balle Balle' and tracks from his latest release 'Race 3'.

Best Supporting Actor – Male – Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Mom)

Best Story – Amit V Masurkar (Newton)

Best Debut Director – Konkona Sen Sharma (A death in the Gunj)

Best Music Direction – Amaal Mallik, Tanishk Bagchi & Akhil Sachdeva (Badrinath Ki Dulhania)

Best Playback Singer Female – Meghna Mishra (Main Kaun Hoon – Secret Superstar)

Best Playback Singer Male – Arijit Singh (Hawayein – Jab Harry Met Sejal)

Best Lyrics – Manoj Muntashir (Mere Rashke Qamar – Baadshaho)

Style Icon Award – Kriti Sanon

A day prior to the award ceremony, fans got to see performances fromMouni Roy and Nushrat Bharucha at IIFA Rocks- the first leg the award ceremony. SingersSreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Shalmali Kholgade, Antara Mitra, Nakash Aziz and Nikitha also performed at the event along with composer Pritam.
