Priyanka Chopra to start shooting for 'Bharat' with Salman Khan from July

It’s been a while since we have seen Priyanka Chopra in a Hindi masala flick. We reported earlier that the ‘desi girl’ will soon be seen opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s film Bharat opposite Salman Khan and now we are here to confirm you the tentative dates for shooting.

Set to reunite with her co-star of several films, Salman Khan, Priyanka will start shooting for Bharat come July. Other stars in the film include Tabu and newbie Disha Patani. The movie will go on floors in June as Salman will start shooting for the same in Punjab while the international star will join the crew in July.

A source close to the film revealed, “She will wrap up promotions for Quantico 3 and her other international commitments by June-end. She will be back to India and begin to shoot for the Ali Abbas Zafar film July onwards. The team plans to shoot a few portions of the film with Salman before PC joins them on the set."

On an earlier occasion, talking about Bharat, Priyanka said, "I’ve finished up two films: A Kid Like Jake, which comes out in June. And Isn’t it Romantic?, which comes out Valentine’s Day 2019. I play a spoiled rich woman who is a yoga guru, which is not a thing. [Bharat] is the Indian movie I signed this year. It’s the quintessential Bollywood movie, which I haven’t done in many years. A lot of them were dramatic and thematic. This one’s going to be out and out entertainment. I’m excited! I haven’t been back to do a movie in two or three years now."

Bharat is an official adaptation of the Korean film Ode To My Father. It is slated for an Eid 2019 release.
