Does Anushka Sharma play Ranbir Kapoor's lover in 'Sanju'?

Heightening everyone’s expectations, maker Rajkumar Hirani shared another poster of his upcoming film Sanju on the life of Sanjay Dutt played by Ranbir Kapoor.

Anushka Sharma poses with her usual sweet smile in the backdrop of Sanjay Dutt’s profile but the only twist is her curly hair. We have never seen those on her, have we?

Rajkumar while posting captioned it: “And here is my dear friend Anushka. It’s a special appearance....but she worked on every nuance of the role for days together. Can anyone guess who she plays?....Will reveal tomorrow at the trailer launch.”

Sanju’s trailer will be released on May 30, but the film is already making all the right noises.

Ranbir Kapoor’s father Rishi Kapoor was shown the trailer who praised his son for impeccable acting and portrayal. Teary-eyed he said, “You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod (Chopra) and Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.”

At the film’s teaser launch, Ranbir said, “It was difficult to play the young 'Sanju'. There were more faces we had to show the drugs and his mother’s loss. The fun was the Munna Bhai phase.”

Written and directed by Hirani, the movie also stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh, and Boman Irani in important roles.

Sanju is set to be released on June 29, 2018.
