Ahead of film's release, Sanjay Dutt's cameo appearance in Ranbir Kapoor's 'Sanju' leaked!

Sanjay Dutt’s biopic Sanju is undoubtedly the most hyped film at this point of time as Ranbir Kapoor portrays the titular role -- one that will prove to be a defining move in his career. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma and Manisha Koirala in pivotal roles -- the film is ready to hit the theatres on June 29.

While there’s a lot of buzz around the film as many theatres across the country are all sold out for the coming weekend, there’s something else that has caught the fancy of social media. Well, there has been an apparent leak of a visual from special screening of the film that suggests that Sanjay Dutt has indeed made a cameo appearance in the film.

Reportedly in the visual, the two are seen holding a newspaper in their hand, as they look at one another. It is from the song that they have shot together.

The director, according to sources wasn’t very sure whether the cameo should be included in the film but they eventually went ahead with it.

A source close to the film was quoted by a daily saying, “It felt like an intrusion in the creative process. The minute you introduce the real character in a biopic, you provide visual proof of how far your creativity is from reality. But the makers realised that the audience would be expecting the real Sanjay Dutt to show up at least once. Besides, Ranbir was okay with it.”
