The new rates of petrol and diesel will come into effect from tomorrow morning, orders for the same will be issued later today.

Union Minister of Law and Justice, Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad reacted to the bandh situation across the country asking who is to be held responsible for the violence that broke out during the protests.
"Everyone has a right to protest but what is happening today? Petrol pumps and buses being set ablaze, putting to risk lives. Who is responsible?" asked Prasad.
