BJP President Amit Shah on Saturday demanded an apology from Senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Saifuddin Soz for their recent comments on Kashmir. Shah also threatened to take an appropriate action against both the leaders in case they fail to apologise.

According to reports, former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had said that "the Indian Army was killing more civilians than terrorists" in Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah, while addressing a public rally today in Jammu and Kashmir, stated that Azad's statement was such that he cannot even repeat it. He alleged that the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) supported Azad's statement.

Shah asked the Congress how did its senior leader shared similar views as the LeT.

He also lashed out at Congress leader Saifuddin Soz for saying that former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf was right in saying Kashmiris will prefer to be independent.

Shah noted that the BJP will never let Kashmir disintegrate from the country and that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India which can never be lost.

The BJP chief demanded the Congress take action against the two leaders and apologize to the nation for the statements they have made.
