Priyanka Chopra, AR Rahman to perform at the Bryan Adams concert in India

Bryan Adams is coming to India for a concert and we have learnt that his main act will be accompanied by some complimentary acts -- from singer-actress Priyanka Chopra and music-composer A R Rahman, if social media is to be believed. 

Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle to share a photo with the music icon as she wrote: “Was so good to see you again @bryanadams happy to be a part of such an amazing project #heartheworldfoundation ❤️” implying that she is indeed a part of the music tour. 

To verify the news, Bryan also took to his Instagram and shared an almost similar picture with the actress and wrote: “Shooting photos today of the lovely @priyankachopra for #heartheworldfoundation”.

A source quoted in a publication said,  “Initially, the promoters weren’t keen on any opening act to ensure that the focus is solely on the artiste. But since Adams has worked with Priyanka previously, and AR Rahman has been Adams’ favourite musician from India, the promoters are finding a way to creatively rope in both the artistes. And although there is room for only one opening act, the promoters are trying to find a middle path. Additionally, a special act is being considered where all three will pay homage to the recent Kerala floods.”

So in addition to Priyanka’s act, A R Rahman will also join the bandwagon and perform. 

Meanwhile, in an earlier interview, Adams on the trip said, “Namaste India.India is one of my favourite places in the whole world. The love and generosity that I have experienced here is immense and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to perform again in this beautiful country.”

Adams will kick off his tour in Ahmedabad (October 9) followed by shows in Hyderabad (October 11), Mumbai (October 12) and Bengaluru (October 13). The tour will wrap up in Delhi (October 14).
